Trailing edge of rudder
Hi
I am finishing a M4S kit for someone and found that the previous builder made the trailing edge of the rudder and the fin very flat and sharp. The documentation states that it should not be done that way.
Does anyone know what the effect will be and if I should worry about changing it.

Re: Trailing edge of rudder
Hi Max
I attached a picture. My opinion is that it is very sharp with a negative camber possibly.
It would seem that I cannot send pictures on my account. This is the error:
Impossible d'envoyer le fichier : dépassement de la taille totale de l'espace de stockage. (Espace restant : 2 Ko)
The picture is 48Kb

Re: Trailing edge of rudder
Hi there,
I'm not shocked but I will have a look this WE to compare with mine and post some picture also.
Can you take a more global picture, I mean to see the whole fin and rudder from the back?
Cheers,

Hi There,
My pictures are not that great and not on the right position but I hope you'll see the thickness of our fin and rudder comparable to your's, aren't they...
BTW where are you located?

Re: Trailing edge of rudder
Could you do me a favor and measure the cord of the fin at the line where the rudder and the fin join. It looks like my rudder and fin needs to be trimmed. You fin does not reach to the end of the elevator and mine does.

here it is, I measured 31 cm from the axis of the elevator and the edge of the fin and 27.5 cm between axis and edge of the rudder. Hope this helps,
Cheers
